VOICES Survivor Defined Success

Founder and Executive Director of the New Orleans Family Justice Alliance, Mary Claire Landry, and project lead for Alliance for HOPE International’s VOICES Survivor Network, Michael Burke will discuss VOICES and Survivor Defined Success. The key to being accountable to survivors is to have an active VOICES Survivor Advocacy Committee. Mary Claire and Michael will share the history of VOICES, how to establish a VOICES committee in your Community or Center, and how to be accountable to survivors. Guest speakers will join them to discuss the role VOICES members should play in outreach, education and direction of Family Justice Centers and multi-agency models. Alliance for HOPE’s Lisbet Perez will also give a brief overview of Proyecto Esperanza –anew Latina empowerment program that is part of the San Diego VOICES Chapter.
